I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and spent my childhood holidays camping wild in Patagonia with my family. We had the most exciting adventures: we bathed in freezing lakes and ate wild strawberries until they gave us stomach aches. We even caught a cow eating our breakfast from the back of our car.

When I finished school I started a degree in fashion at university but I soon felt I was missing something. One day, flicking through old holiday photos, I realised it was truth that was missing. I wanted to record life itself, be it a child’s moment or a street demonstration. So I left everything, bought a camera and studied photojournalism. That gave me the opportunity to interact with many different people living different realities. During one project in a very deprived area of the city, it struck me how happy the children were regardless of their poverty. This is something that will stay with me forever and something that has inspired me ever since.

Then I met Nic and we started travelling together. After a few amazing years we got married and made London our place in the world. Since then our two boys have come along and I made a decision to capture as many moments as I could, so that, in future, they too can look back and be astonished by the wonder of childhood.
